Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya (SAMV) and Greenland Children Academy(GCA )have joined galaxy in the semi final of 6th Chief of Staff Inter School Running Cricket Tournament, being held at Army School Ground, Bhktapur. SAMV defeated EPS while Greenland Children Academy came over Nepal Police School in their matches played today to book a place in semis.
SAMV vs. EPS(Pool A)
In the first match Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya defeated EPS by 5 wicket. batting first EPS were folded for mere 75 rusn in 18.3 overs. Manish Kumar Yadav top scored of EPS with 26 runs fo 37 balls. Player of the match Suman Kunwar picked up three wickets for SAMV while Prashant Shrestha and Arjun Bhusal bagged two wickets each. SAMV got to the target in only 11.3 overs losing 5 wickets. Gunjan Yadav made 24 runs of 26 balls for SAMV. Nirmal bastakoti remained not out on 12 of 25 balls to guide SAMV to a well dfought victory. Kalbhusan Shah of EPS picked of 3 wickets, while Pranjal panday and Akash KC chiped in with awicket a piece.
SAMV qualify for semis as Pool A winners; with 5 points each SAMV stand tall over galaxy on net run rate.
GCA vs. NPS( Pool B)
In the second match played today Greenland Children Academy(GCA) defeated Nepal Police School(NPS) by 4 wickets. Batting first NPS put up a score of 105 runs losing nine wickets. Aryan Deepak Raut top scored for NPS with 18 of 21 balls. Sandeep Sherchan picked up two wickets for GCA, giving away 18 runs in his for overs. Sushant KC bowled an economic 4 overs and gave away only 8 runs and picked up a wicket as well. GCA got to the total in the first ball of final over losing 6 wickets. Omik Pradhan guided GCA to victory making 31 runs of 35 balls. Badal Limbu and Dipesh Thapa contributed with 16 and 15 runs respectively for GCA. Ayush Shrestha and Deepak Raut picked up 2 wickets a piece for NPS, Ayush Shrestha ending the game with impressive figures of 3.1-7-2. Omik Pradhan was adjudged the man of the match.
With the win GCA qualify for the semis. The winner from tomorrow’s match between Brihaspati and Rajan Memorial will join GCA and the other two semi finalist.
