Sudurpaschim Province honors Airee, Bhandari, and Jora for T20 World Cup Qualification

The Sudurpaschim Province government has acknowledged Dipendra Singh Airee, Binod Bhandari, and Sundeep Jora from their region by presenting them with cash awards.

These players from the province played a crucial role in securing Nepal’s spot in the T20 World Cup after a decade, prompting the provincial government to acknowledge their contributions.

All-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee is slated to be awarded a sum of NRS six lakhs, while Sundeep Jora and Binod Bhandari will each receive five lakhs. Additionally, Airee is entitled to an extra lakh for his remarkable world record achievement in the 19th Asian Games, where he achieved the fastest-ever nine-ball half-century in the T20I format.

Sudurpaschim Province consistently ensures the recognition of its players for their accomplishments. The U19 players were also acknowledged and honoured for securing a spot in the U19 World Cup.

Nepal secured their place in the T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating UAE in the semifinals of the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers. This marks their return to the World Cup after a decade, with their last appearance being in 2014 in Bangladesh.
