Surya Kumar Yadav scores his first IPL century

India’s star batter Surya Kumar Yadav has scored a maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) Century. The spectacular knock came against the Gujrat Titans at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Yadav’s unbeaten 103* off just 49 deliveries left the opposition bowlers helpless as he single-handedly guided his team to an imposing total of 218/5. He scored a six in the final ball of the inning to reach a milestone.

The Mumbai Indians’ batsman exhibited an array of exquisite shots, including 11 boundaries and six maximums, as he relentlessly punished the Gujrat Titans’ bowlers throughout his blistering innings. Yadav reached his half-century in 32 balls and accelerated his scoring rate to reach the coveted three-figure mark in the next 17 deliveries.

With this sensational century, Yadav now boasts the third-highest individual score by a Mumbai Indians player in the history of the IPL. Moreover, it stands as the highest individual score against the Gujrat Titans in the tournament.

Yadav’s exceptional performance in the IPL comes as no surprise, considering his impressive track record. Prior to this century, the star batter had already registered three T20 International centuries while representing the Indian cricket team.

The Mumbai Indians’ innings, bolstered by Yadav’s masterclass, set a formidable target of 219 runs for the Gujrat Titans, putting them under immense pressure to mount a successful chase.
