Surya Tamang continues his sensational form

Surya Tamang has maintained his impressive performance in the ongoing Prime Minister (PM) Cup Men’s National Tournament. The spinner from Bagmati Province took six wickets against Lumbini Province on Saturday, showcasing his sensational form.

In their final group-stage match against Lumbini on Saturday, Bagmati Province saw an outstanding performance from Surya Tamang, who claimed six wickets and was awarded the Player of the Match. This marked Surya’s second six-wicket haul and third five-wicket haul in the tournament.

Bowling two maiden overs in his spell, Surya Tamang conceded only 26 runs (10-2-26-6). Consequently, Lumbini was dismissed for a mere 106 runs in 32.2 overs.

Having accumulated 30 wickets in only nine matches, the left-arm spinner has never went wicketless. Previously, He took a fifer against Madhesh and Tribhuwan Army Club. He is the leading wicket taker in the tournament as well.

While he has been part of the Nepal squad on numerous occasions, he is still awaiting his debut game.
