Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Cricket Association of Nepal(CAN) on Thursday released the fixtures of the Wai Wai U-19 National Cricket Tournament that is scheduled to begin in Kathmandu from April 15.
All eight regions will participate in a 12 days event.According to the press release issued by CAN, the teams have been divided into two pools. Pool A consist of Region Number IV Bhairahawa, Region Number VII Janakpur, Region Number V Nepalgunj and Region Number VI Baitadi while the group B comprises Region Number II Birgunj, Region Number III Kathmandu, Rehion Number VIII Pokhara and Region Number I Biratnagar with the winner from each group making it to the finals.
Two matches will be held in a day, one at Tribuwan University Cricket Ground and another at Pulchowk Engineering College Cricket Ground. Group B matches will be held from April 15 to 17 while the Group A matches will be played from April 22 to 24 and the final match will be played on April 26.
A seven member organizing committee has been formed under the leadership of Sriniwash Rana, the current vice-president of CAN.
Region Number II Birgunj will take on host Region Number III Kathmandu on the opening day at T.U. Ground while in the Pulchowk Ground, Region Number VIII Pokhara will face Region Number I Biratnagar.
