U19 Regional Selection Hamper National Team’s Preapration

Cricnepal/Kathmandu

Cricket Association has been making huge blunders time and again. Every time it does something really really bad the cricket community and fans console themselves thinking “it cannot get worse”. And CAN always proves that it always can do worse as if trying to better(rather worsen) it’s previous blunder.

First it published Shewag’s picture in the annual Souvenir. Media from Nepal and India made lot fun about that-disappointed cricket lovers laughed it off. But within months of that incident CAN was fined 8.3 Million Rupees by ICC for failing to provide a financial report. Issues of unclear debts by various members of CAN had hit the media few months earlier.

And now it failed to provide the national cricket team with practice pitches on TU International Ground as the ground is occupied for U-19 Regional (Region No.3 Kathmandu) Selection matches.

The Cricket Team had returned to Nepal on Wednesday night after 10 days tour of  Delhi. The team had planned a few more practice sessions in TU starting today but the ground was already in use for the match between Nuwakot and Kathamandu. Nepal is set to participate on the T20 World Cup Qualifier starting 15th of November.

The entire team was very disappointed  for not getting to train right before one of the biggest tournament for Nepal. Paras Khadka was particularly furious. “If CAN cannot provide us with basic facilities they should stop boasting about big this”, he expressed his disappointment.

“We did not practice today. Lets hope CAN provides us pitches for tomorrow”  he said.

The team has 8 more days in Nepal before it flies to UAE on 9th November.Blunders like these will not only affect the practice sessions but also the morale of the players.
