UAE, Oman & Afghanistan register their win

Kathmandu – At Tribhuvan University, it was all Nepal, Nepal and Nepal but at the same time, Pulchowk Engineering Ground was holding Afghanistan v Malaysia.

Winning the toss, Afghanistan scored 166/4 in 20 overs. Man of the Match, Shabir Noori scored 53 runs from 30 balls and Karim Sadiq scored 39 runs from 42 balls. Malaysia could only manage to score 107/9 in their 20 overs and lost by 59 runs.

Meanwhile, Oman and Bhutan faced each other on the same venue today. Oman opted to bat first after winning the toss and scored a mammoth 186/7 in 20 overs. Bhutan never looked like they were in the match and were bundled out for just 62 runs in 13 overs.

UAE pulled out a victory against Kuwait by 4 wickets. Thanks to Vikrant Shetty who steered them to a four-wicket victory.

Shetty cracked an unbeaten 45 off 32 balls with four boundaries and a six to help UAE reach the target with eight balls to spare. Kuwait won the toss and were bowled out for 135 runs.

The ACC Twenty20 tournament is being contested by 10 countries. Nepal will meet host Nepal in a crucial match today.
