Visa delay hampers Nepali Cricketers

Kathmandu – British High Commission Office in New Delhi delayed granting the Visa to Nepali Cricketers ahead of the ICC World Cricket League Division 3 in Bermuda .

According to the National Daily- Republica, the commission delayed granting the visa on Monday to Paras Khadka and other Players.

Nepali Cricket team is scheduled to visit the Bermuda from New Delhi-London route via Indian Airlines and British Airlines respectively.

“Skipper Paras Khadka’s Bermuda visa is still due & other players are waiting transit visa to UK. We are staying positive and will wait until Monday Evening”, Ashok Nath Pyakuryal, General Secretary of CAN informed.

Previously, Nepal Under-19 players also had to face the same issue from Australian Embassy in Delhi during their ICC U-19 World Cup 2012 fixtures in Australia.

Nepal will be playing practice match against Bermuda XI on 25th of April at 7:15 NST.
