XFactors defeats Giants in nail-biting match

Dhangadi – Colors XFactors defeated Jagdamba Giants in a nail-biting match today by one wicket at Fapla Ground in Dhangadi.

Gyanendra Malla, Captain of XFactors, won the toss and chose to field first. That decision came fruitful as the bowlers bowled a disciplinary line and restricted Giants for a modest 136 in 43.2 overs. Leg Spinner, Kumar Thapa and Sanjam Regmi grabbed three wickets each.

Faisal Khan and Raj Mohammed also shared two wickets.

Amit Shrestha 35(56) and Hasim Ansari 37(56) were the highest run-getters for Giants.

During the chase, the planned worked for X Factors, as their opener Faisal Khan became destructive and smashed the bowlers all over the park. His cameo brought his first fifty of the tournament in just 20 ball that includes 5 fours and 5 sixes.

Rajesh Pulami and Gyanendra Malla were also in hurry to achieve the target but dismissed for 20(21) and 19(12) respectively. X factors were in a comfort zone at one stage and looked for a comprehensive win but four scalps from Sompal Kami changed the whole equation of the match and soon Giants needed two runs for the victory.

The last batsman, Amar Singh Routela, arrived at the crease and smacked the first ball to the boundary to end the thrilling match.

Faisal Khan was awarded the Player of the match. “This was a sensational victory for Colors today and We are looking forward for the semis”, Nischal Tiwari, the Manager of X-Factors told.
