Yeti Airlines in final‚ Citizens outplay NT

Prafulla Vaidhya completed a five-wicket haul and Sandeep Shrestha scored a fluent half-century as Yeti Airlines defeated Nepal SBI Bank to reach the Corporate Clash Twenty20 Cricket Tournament final here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium today.

SBI scored 102 in 19.3 overs before Yeti overcame the total losing five wickets in 16.1 overs. Monish Shrestha top scored for SBI with 40 off 41 and Niraj Karki added an unbeaten 18. Man-of-the-match Prafulla picked up 5-16, while Diwas Prajapati grabbed two wickets for Yeti.

In reply, Sandeep smashed five fours and a six in his fiery 49-ball 54 not out to steer Yeti to final. Prafulla also shone with the bat playing a 14-ball 16 cameo. Niraj and Bishal Neupane picked up two wickets apiece for SBI.

In another match, Citizens Bank defeated Nepal Telecom by 75 runs. Batting first, Citizens scored 147-8 in 20 overs with man-of-the-match Sharad Pokharel hammering an unbeaten 65 off 41 deliveries with eight fours and a six. Sharad then returned to take 4-15 as Nepal Telecom were bundled out for a paltry 72 in 20 overs. Amit Khanal also had three scalps for Citizens. Earlier, Pradeep Khatiwoda took three wickets and Binay Pokhrel had two victims in Citizens’ innings.
