Abinash Bohara’s remarkable bowling performance sets new T20I record for Nepal

Abinash Bohara has recorded the best bowling figure for Nepal in the T20 International (T20I) match. In the second match of Asian Games Cricket against the Maldives, Abinash Bohara picked up a six-wicket haul.

Bohara’s performance was nothing short of exceptional, as he became the first Nepalese bowler to achieve a six-wicket haul in a T20I.

He ended up with a figure of 3.4-0-11-6, which is the new best bowling performance. Prior to this Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC had a five-wicket haul for Nepal in T20I.

Lamichhane’s 4-0-9-5 against Kenya was the best bowling figure for Nepal. Before that Karan Kc became the first Nepalese bowler to grab a fifer (3.4-0-21-5) against PNG.

Bohara dismantled Maldive’s batting lineup with pinpoint toe-crushing yorkers. He took three crucial wickets in the sixth over of the match and sealed the victory with another three wickets in the 20th over, leaving the opposition in disarray.

Bohara’s figure of 3.4-0-11-6 is the T20I cricket’s seventh-best bowling figure. Malaysian seamer Syazrul Ezat Idrus holds the best bowling performance in T20I history.

Nepal defeated Maldives by 138 runs and also booked a spot in the quarterfinal. They secured a record-breaking 273-run win over Mongolia in the first match.
