Bagmati Province unveils women’s squad for bilateral series against APF

Bagmati Province has announced the women’s squad for the bilateral series against Armed Police Force (APF) women. The 18-player squad was announced on Monday under the captaincy of Ashmina Karmacharya. The same squad will represent Bagmati Province in the upcoming PM Cup.

Bagmati’s women’s team will play a three-match series against APF as a preparation before going for the PM Cup. Three matches will be played on 27,28 and 29th of Mangsir (13,14 and 15th of December) at Mulpani Cricket Ground. The PM Cup starts from Paush 1 (December 17).

The selection tournament at Gautam Buddha Rangashala featured district teams from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, and Chitwan. Subsequently, Bagmati Red, Green, and Blue teams were established, engaging in a series of matches (Elite Trophy). The squad’s ultimate selection was determined based on performances in these tournaments.

Kathmandu won the selection tournament whereas Bagmati Red emerged victorious in the Elite Trophy.
