Batting improves further for Nepal as Gyanendra scores a ton

Kathmandu – Nepal improved their batting further in the 3rd practice match against Ragama Cricket Club as an outstanding 167 off 157 balls form Gyanendra Malla helped them post a total of 285/7 in 50 overs.

Nepal who were all out for just 79runs in the first match showed some resistance with the bat in the second match, and their batting improved further in the 3rd practice match today. Its a good sign for the yeah just 3 days prior to Division 3.

Nepal always lacked a big innings from their top batsman in 50 over cricket. But, Vice-Captain Gyanendra Malla stoop to play a fine, and long innings. Nepal who batted first scored 285/6, thanks to 167 runs from Gyanendra and 62 rubs from opener Naresh Budhayer who scored 62 runs. The duo shared a partnership of 149 runs form the second wicket.

After just 13 overs of play in the second innings, the match suffered a heavy blow of rain and was abandoned. Ragama were 61/1 after 13 overs when the play was halted. Paras Khadka took the only wicket.
