Gautam Buddha T20 from October

Kathmandu – Kapilvastu Youth Cricket Development Academy will organize the first Gautam Buddha International Cricket in Taulihawa, Kapilvastu from October 12 to 18.

“Altogether twelve cricket teams will participate in the knockout tournament in which six teams each from from India and Nepal”, the press release stated.

The visiting Indian teams includes Delhi, Lucknow, Haryana, Gorakhpur and Varanasi. And they will also include some players featured in the Ranji Trophy. However, the organiser have not finalized any team from Nepal apart from the host.

The tournament´s champion and runner-up will receive a sum of Rs 160,000 and Rs 100,000 along with medals and trophies. The man of the series will receive Rs 30,000 while the man of the match will get Rs 5,000.

Meanwhile, the expected cost of the tournament is Rs 2.38 million.

The matches will be held in Kapilvastu and Taulihawa.
