ICC U19 Cricket World Cup: Exciting fixtures and tough competition awaits Nepal

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the new fixtures and schedule for the upcoming ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2024. The venue for the tournament was shifted to South Africa from Sri Lanka following the suspension of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board by the ICC.

The tournament will be played from January 19 to February 11. Nevertheless, the Group division is the same. Nepal is placed in Group D alongside Pakistan, New Zealand and Afghanistan.

Nepal U19 will play the first match against New Zealand U19 on the 21st of January. They will battle against Pakistan on February 24 followed by a match against Afghanistan on February. Team Nepal will play all their matches at Buffalo Park, East London.

India, Bangladesh, Ireland and the USA are in Group A. England, South Africa, West Indies and Scotland are in Group B whilst Group C consists of Australia, Zimbabwe Sri Lanka and Namibia.

The top three sides from each group will qualify for the Super Six of the tournament. Within the Super Six, there are two sub-groups, with A and D teams competing against each other, and B and C teams facing off. Teams will also compete in a 12-16 place play off.

The tournament will be played in the 50-over format, with a total of 41 matches scheduled to take place.
