India stuns Bangladesh in the rain-halted thriller

India moves to the top of Group B (playing one more match) and stronger their chances to book a spot in the semifinal of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. India returned stronger to beat Bangladesh by five runs in the rain-halted clash.

Bangladesh needed to chase the target of 185, but drizzle interfered while the score was 66/0 after seven overs, with Bangladesh being well ahead in the D/L method. Litton Das lit up the stadium with the boundaries and became the first batter to complete his half-century while the team’s total also just crossed the 50 runs mark.

Then the match was reduced to 16 overs with the target being 151. KL Rahul affected an astonishing run out to dismiss Litton Das (60) in the second ball of the start. India since then controlled themselves and won by just five runs. Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh grabbed a pair of wickets each for India.
