Lumbini All-Stars register fifth win in a row

Lumbini All-Stars continue their sensational form in Nepal T20 League, registering a dominant 35 runs win against Kathmandu Knights. Lumbini are at the top of the table, winning all five matches.

Opting to bat first, Lumbini piled up 150/8 after the allotted 20 overs. Dipendra Singh Airee topped the scorecard with 27-ball 40. Opener Lahiru Milantha made 25, while Shadley van Schalkwyk scored an unbeaten 25 runs at the end.

Apart from Kamal Airee, all the used bowlers managed to pick up at least one wicket with Azmatullah Omarzai being the pick of a bowler, grabbing a couple of wickets. 

In reply, Kathmandu Knights were restricted to a mere 115 after the completion of 20 overs. The top three batters were sent back for a duck within the second over. The knights were in more trouble after losing Ryan Burl in the next over and down to 5/4. Azmatullah Omarzai scored the highest run with 38 runs. Kamal Airee and Sunam Gautam also contributed 19 and 18 runs respectively.

Harmeet Singh was the star for Lumbini All-Stars, picking up three wickets. He conceded just seven runs bowling one maiden. He was the player of the match as well.

Winning all five matches, Lumbini stand at the top of the table with ten points. Janakpur Royals are at the second position with six points from four matches.
