Kathmandu – Advisor of Non-Resident Nepali(NRN) Qatar – Mr. R.K. Sharma handed over a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh 51 thousand to the Skipper of Nepali National Team Paras Khadka on Friday for their best performance in ICC World T20 held in Bangladesh last year.
He handed the cash prize to Skipper amid a function at Sports Journalist Forum in Kathmandu. After receiving the cash, Khadka thanked Sharma and told Nepali Cricket is seeking help from Personal and Corporate sector. “We have played to our potential and the results are already promising for Nepalese Cricket”, Khadka said. “What we need is support and help from Person and Corporate Sector”, he further added.
Bhawana Ghimire, CEO of Cricket Association of Nepal and Naresh Budhayair were also present in the programme. “Cricketers are the Hero of this Nation, you have the flag of Nepal. You just continue your effort rest we will try to help and support from outside.”, R.K. Sharma told.
