Nepal Set to Play Practice Matches In New Zealand

ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier NewZealand 2014

Kathmandu – Nepal Cricket team is all set to play four practice matches in New Zealand ahead of the qualifiers.  According to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Nepali National Cricket team will reach New Zealand at 7 am local time Saturday.

Nepal will play its all matches against Canterbury,a first-class team of New Zealand. They have some highly skilled players like Rob Nicol and Ronnie Hira,both of them representing New Zealand in international cricket.

More importantly, Nepal will play its matches in three different venues which would help them to adapt the seaming conditions very well ahead of the qualifiers.

Dec 28 – Arrival
Dec 29 – Match vs Canterbury Selection Side at Burnside Park
Dec 30 – Training at Burnside Park
Dec 31 – Match vs Canterbury Selection Side at Burnside Park
Jan 1 – Rest day
Jan 2 – Rest day
Jan 3 – Training at Burnside Park
Jan 4 – Training at St Andrew’s College
Jan 5 – Training at St Andrew’s College
Jan 6 – Match vs Canterbury Selection Side at St Andrew’s College
Jan 7 – Match vs Canterbury Selection Side at Sydenham Park.
