Sanjam, Chandra Make Comeback: Alam, Das Left Out

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has declared the list of a 30 member preliminary squad for the upcoming ICC world T20 Cup. Selectors have included veteran spinner Sangam Regmu, fast bowlers Chandra Saud and Amrit Bhattarai in the list but has left out other Veterans Mehaboob Alam and Binod Das.

All-rounder Alam, whose nature of game suits the format of the game was left out despite most of the fans wanting him to be in the team and former captain Binod Das was left out again which means both the players have a very slim chance to play for the country again.

All the players were selected on the recommendation of coach Pubudu Dassanayeke while he was in New Zealand for the ODI World Cup Qualifiers. The list consists of all the 15 players selected for the qualifiers including Paras Khadka(c), Gyanendra Malla(vc), Subash Khakurel, Anil Mandal, Pradeep Airee, Sharad Veswakar, Prithu Baskota, Avinash Karn, Sompal Kami, Basanta Regmi, Sagar Pun, Jitendra Mukhiya, Binod Bhandari, and Mahesh Chettri.

Other players include Sangam Regmi, Rahul Bk, Chandra Saud, Amrit Bhattarai, Ram Naresh Giri, Naresh Bhudayer, Bhuwan Karki, Rajesh Pulami, Yagyaman Kumal, Aarif Sheikh, Sushil Kandel, Amrit Shrestha, Rajkumar Pradhan, Nizamuddin Ansari and Manjit Shrestha.

The ICC T20 World Cup starts on March 16 with Nepal taking Hong Kong in the first match on the same day.
