Nepal vs Saudi Arabia: Match abandoned due to rain; Nepal enter semi-final

Kathmandu – Nepal’s third match of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup against Saudi Arabia has been abandoned without a toss after continuous rain at the Mulpani cricket ground.

The historic Monday’s clash for Nepal as they were playing the first International match at the venue was unable to start after a wet outfield and continuous rain.

Nepal were scheduled to play their only match of the ACC Premier Cup at Mulpani.

Currently, Nepal Men’s team is leading the table with five points from three matches. They were victorious against Oman and Malaysia in the previous matches. Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, were beaten by Malaysia and bounced back well to beat Qatar.

Nepal will play its final league stage match at TU Cricket Ground on April 27 against Qatar. Saudi will face Oman on April 26, which will decide their fate in the semi-final hope. If they manage to beat Oman in the final league stage match, they will advance to the top four.

The abandonment, however, has not affected Nepal on their chances of leading the points table. If they beat Qatar in the last match, they will still dance to the semifinal, leading the group.
