Gulshan Jha scores a century in Nepal U19’s big win over Scotland U19 

The Nepalese U19 team has registered a big win over Scotland U19 in the practice match in South Africa. The Nepalese side emerged victorious by 135 runs.

The Nepalese U19 team are already in South Africa for the preparation of the U19 Cricket World. They are currently participating in a high-performance camp, and the match against Scotland is also a crucial part of their training schedule.

Nepal posted 284 runs on the board before being bowled out in 49.2 overs. Gulshan Jha played a brilliant innings of 114 runs from 115 balls. Dipak Bohara remained unbeaten for 58 runs from just 54 balls.

In response, Scottish side were bundled for 149 runs in 43.2 overs. Spinner Tilak Bhandari was a pick of a bowler grabbing three wickets for just 17 runs. Pacer Aakash Chand also grabbed two wickets. Uzair Ahamad top-scored for the losing side with 28 runs.

The U19 World Cup 2024 will be played from January 19 to February 11 in South Africa. Nepal is placed in Group D alongside Pakistan, New Zealand and Afghanistan.
