Kushal Bhurtel and Kishore Mahato debut in Victorian Premier Cricket

Nepal’s star batter Kushal Bhurtel and speedster Kishore Mahato made their debut in Victorian Premier Cricket. The tournament is the elite club competition in Melbourne, Australia administered by Cricket Victoria.

Bhurtel is playing for Frankston Peninsula 1st XI while Kishore is representing Greenvale Kangaroos 1st XI. Kishore, despite being included in the starting lineup, had to endure a two-match wait for his debut as both the matches on December 2 and December 9 were called off due to rain. Likewise, Kushal’s team also faced a cancellation of their December 9 match.

Kushal Bhurtel’s performance:

Bhurtel’s team – Frankston played two matches on Saturday and suffered a defeat in both matches. Bhurtel too didn’t have a remembering debut as he was dismissed for 2 runs (6 balls) and his side faced 21 runs defeat while chasing 122 runs.

In the second match, Kushal scored 27-ball 29 with four boundaries however his side lost by just one run during the chase of 121 runs.

Kishore Mahato’s performance:

Kishore Mahato had a good two games however his side too faced a defeat in both matches. He picked up a wicket (4-0-33-1) and scored 16-ball 27* in a 35-run defeat.

In the second match, Greenvale faced a two-run defeat while chasing a mere target of 109. However, Kishore had a good game picking up two wickets (3-0-18-2). Additionally, He scored four runs from three balls.

In an 18-team tournament, Kushal Bhurtel’s team is in 13th place whereas Kishore Mahato’s team is in the last position.
