Nepal faces second consecutive defeat

Cricnepal/Kathmandu – Nepalese Cricket Team, which is on a preparation tour to Dharamshala, India faced second consecutive defeat at the hands of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Team on Wednesday.

In the fourth practice match, Himachal debated Nepal by seven runs to level the series 2-2.

Riding on Abhimanyu Rana’s unbeaten knock of 67 (60 balls), Himachal posted 150/6 in their allotted over after they won they won the toss and decided to bat first. Amit Kumar played another handy knock with a blistering 49 runs of just 36 balls. Left Arm pacer Avinash Karn grabbed two wickets for Nepal.

Chasing 151 runs, Nepal fell just seven runs short of the target after some disciplined bowling display from Himachal bowlers. Skipper Paras Khadka found some form with the bat playing a fine knock off 36 runs off 33 balls but couldn’t win the match for his team.

Gyanendra Malla scored run a ball 29 runs while Rajesh Pulami contributed 23 runs off 16 balls. Rahul Singh and Shresht Nimchi grabbed two wickets each for Himachal Pradesh.
