Records on Sight for Regmi and Khadka

Kathmandu- Nepal’s veteran trio of Paras Khadka, Basanta Regmi and Paras Khadka are on sight of achieving personal milestones when Nepal plays Uganda tomorrow in the first match of ICC WCL DIV 2, 2015.

Basanta Regmi has got 96 wickets to his name in the ICC World Cricket leagues matches and is the leading wicket taker in WCL. If he gets four wickets in tomorrow’s game, he will be the first bowler in the history of ICC WCL to reach 100 wickets. Regmi has got those 96 wickets in just 42 innings at an outstanding average of 13.5 and a economy of 2.96 runs per over.

Nepal’s skipper Paras, on the other hand, has got 972 runs in 40 innings in the ICC World Cricket Leagues since first playing the ICC world Cricket League division 5 in 2008. If Khadka manages to get just 28 runs in tomorrow’s match he will be the second Nepal player after Gyanendra Malla to cross 1000 runs landmark in WCL matches. Khadka averages 31.09 with the bat at a strike rate of 78.75. He has also got 33 wickets to his name. He has five fifties to his name including highest of 75 runs against Fiji in ICC WCL Division 5 against Fiji.

Meanwhile, Gyanendra Malla is the leading runs scorer for Nepal in ICC World Cricket Leagues. He has got 1026 runs 39 innings at an average of 33.34 and a strike rate of 67.51. Malla has six fifties plus scores and one hundred to his name. He scored 114 runs off 125 balls against Singapore in ICC WCL Division 3, 2014.
