Lamichhane produces another brilliant performance in GT20

Nepal’s spinning sensation Sandeep Lamichhane has produced another excellent performance for his team in the ongoing GT20 Canada. Lamichhane bagged his best performance so far this season in Surrey Jaguars‘ 55-run victory over Mississauga Panthers.

Invited to bat first, Jatinder Singh’s half-century helped Jaguars post 164/6 after the end of 20 overs. In response, Panthers were bundled out to mere 109 runs in 17 overs.

Sandeep Lamichhane and Spencer Johnson picked up three wickets each for Jaguars. Lamichhane conceded 18 runs from his three overs.

Lamichhane, who came to bowl in the 10th over, was welcomed with a six by Cameron Delport and conceded nine runs from the first over.

In his second over, He not only took revenge with Delport but also dismissed dangerous Kiwi all-rounder James Neesham for a duck. His second over cost just three runs and a couple of wickets.

In his third over, the leggie sent back Jaskaran Singh and conceded six runs. Hence he ended up with a figure of 3-0-18-3.

The Nepalese superstar received a ‘Moment of the Match’ award. He had received the same award in the previous two matches as well.

Lamichhane picked up two wickets each in the first and third matches, whilst the second game was abandoned due to rain, where he was able to bowl just a couple of deliveries.

Surrey Jaguars are in the third position of the table with five points from four matches.
