Sompal Kami scores second ton in a row

Som Pal Kami(Thapa) scored his second hundred of Region No.3 U19 Regional Selection in as many matches as Kathmandu defeated Bhaktapur by massive 80 runs.

Som Pal Thapa who represented Nepali Cricket Fan Club in the District Selection games came to Nepal just two months back to play the Senior T20 Selection. He immediately impressed with the his pace and was also in the National Camp.

Although first seen as a bowler, 18 year old Som pal always preferred to call himself a bating all rounder.

He had scored 85 ball 115 in the last match. He bettered that this time getting exactly 115 but in just 66 balls.

Sompal clobbered 12 fours and 7 sixes today againt Bhaktapur and reached his 100 in just 59 balls. Riding on Som’s hard hitting Kathmandu posted 296-8 in 40 overs. haktapur were restricted to 216-8. Sharad Khadka picked 3 wickets with tha ball. Som Pal was also amongst the wickets getting two Bhaktapur scalps.

In the other match played today Lalitpur outplayed Nuwakot by 7 wickets. After restricting Nuwakot to 91, Lalitpur chased the target in 19.3 overs. Pawan Ghimere top scored for Lalipur with unbeaten 30 runs.
