Twitter erupts after Sandeep Lamichhane’s world record

Sandeep Lamichhane created a world record in Nepal’s 50th ODI match on Friday against Oman. Lamichhane became the fastest bowler to reach 100 ODI wickets.

The record was previously held by Afghan superstar Rashid who reached the feat in 44 matches, but Sandeep Lamichhane did so in just 42 matches. He dismissed Adeel Shafique in the third ball of the 13th over, his first of the match in Nepal’s second game of the ACC Premier Cup against Oman at TU Cricket Ground on Friday. He dismissed Zeeshan Maqsood for a duck in the same over, followed by a wicket of Kashyap Prajapati in the next over. Nepal emerged victorious by 84 runs in the match.
