On his birthday, Nepal’s spinning sensation Sandeep Lamichhane produced a brilliant performance in the Global T20 League Canada. In his team’s last group-stage match against Mississauga Panthers, Lamichhane picked up three wickets, conceding just six runs.
Introduced in the eighth over, Lamichhane started brilliantly, picking up two wickets and giving up just one run. He dismissed Azam Khan and Top Cooper in the final two balls of the over.
Lamichhane shared just three and one run in the second and third over, respectively. The leggie dismissed Zahoor Khan and conceded just one run in his final over.
Overall He ended up with a figure of 4-0-6-3, which is his best bowling performance in GT20. He bowled 18 dot balls in his spell.
Surrey Jaguars bowled out Panthers for just 56 runs in 14.3 overs. A win in this match will take Jaguars to the top of the table.
Lamichhane went wicketless in the previous match. He picked up two wickets in the first and third matches, whilst the second match was washed out due to rain, where he was able to bowl only a couple of delivaries. In the fourth match, Lamichhane grabbed three wickets.
