Kathmandu – Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced a final 14 member squad for the upcoming ACC U-16 Premier league to be held in Malaysia from August 14-20.
The final 14 member squad were selected from the list of 18 members who were in the closed camp since 27th july in Kathmandu.
Sumit Maharjan has been assigned a captaincy duty while Aasif Shiekh was named as the Vice-Captain. Pranit Thapa, Sushant Singh Thapa, Pawan Sharaf, Jitendra Singh Thakuri, Rabi Kumar Shah, Rabindra Jung Shahi, Rabi Chand, Aashish Pokharel, Bijay Chaudari, Anil Kharel, Rijan Dhakal & Roshan Adhikari were among the final list published by CAN in their Press release today.
Similarly, Ranjit Tamang will travel with the team as a Team Manager along with Basanta Shahi, the Coach. Raju Basnyat will also travel as an Assistant Coach.
Nepal will play the opener against Thailand in August 14 at Selangor Turf Club. The tournament is a 40 over a side, players born on or after September 1st 1998 are eligible.
