Giants outplay Legends

Kanchanpur – Sagarmatha Legends was outplayed by Jagdamba Giants by in the second day of Nepal Premier League at Fapla Ground, Dhangadi.

Electing to bat first, Giants scored 213 runs losing their nine wickets in 50 overs. Naresh Budhayair top scored with 32 off 22 balls while Amit Shrestha, Sompal Kami and Mahesh Chettri managed 32, 31 & 18 runs respectively. Shubendu Pandey contributed 18 runs.

Rahul Viswokarma grabbed three wickets (10-2-48-3) against them. Similarly, Lalbahadur Adhikari and Rupesh Shrivastav shared four wickets.

In reply, Shakti Gauchan match winning spell (8.3-1-19-4) of bowling helped his team to wrap up Legends for 162 runs in 42.3 overs. Similarly, Prem Tamang took three wickets for 35 runs. Anil Mandal 36(54), Paresh Lohani 18(26), Rahul V.K 29 (54) and Mehaboob Alam 16 (38) contributed during the unsuccessful chase.

Shakti Gauchan was awarded with a Man of the Match trophy for his outstanding bowling.

Giants will play Tez who will start their NPL campaign from tomorrow at Covered Hall Ground, Kanchanpur.
