Lumbini All-Stars continue their winning streak with a thrilling super-over win

Lumbini All-Stars grabbed their fourth win in a row after a thrilling super-over win against Far West United on the first match of Wednesday. The match went on to super over after Karan Kc conceded just four runs while five was required from the final over.

Lumbini assembled 19 runs from super over after Milantha smacked two sixes. Meanwhile, Farwest could add ten runs, giving the opposition two points. Hashmatullah smacked six in the first ball; however, he could repeat the feat further.

Lumbini had a disastrous start chasing a total of 138 runs. They were 56/6 after ten overs. Bipul Sharma then made 31 runs, although Gulshan Jha uplifted All-stars with an unbeaten 36 runs. He scored 12 runs in the penultimate over but was unable to finish it in the final over. Opener Milantha also added quick 34 runs.

Earlier, Invited to bat first, Far West United finished their 20 overs on 137/6. Dev Khanal was the top scorer with 48 runs. Skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi also assisted 32 runs. Shadley van Schalkwyk picked up two wickets for Lumbini. 

Lumbini are at the top of the table with eight points, winning all four matches. They snatched two points from Pokhara on Tuesday after Schalkwyk’s last ball six.
