McCullum hits fastest test century

Melbourne/Cricnepal – New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum has smashed a world record fastest test century in 54 balls in his 101st and final Test match at Christchurch, Hagley Oval against Australia on Saturday.

McCullum smashed 145 runs in 79 balls with 21 fours and 6 sixes with a strike rate of 183.54 before falling off Pattinson’s bowling. Previously, Vivian Richards smashed fastest century in 56 balls against England in Antigua in 1985-86, and was later equalled by Misbah-ul-Haq against Australia in Abu Dhabi in 2014-15.

New Zealand were bowled out for 370 in 65.4 overs. Australia leads the two test Trans Tasman Test series by 1-0.
