Nepal gets new Jersey before ICC WT20 2014

Kathmandu – Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and B.S. Sports unveiled the new Cricket Jersey for Nepalese Cricket Team amidst a jersey unveiling and Farewell programme Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu today.

On 16th December 2013, Cricket Association of Nepal and Singapore’s Multinational Company BS Sports signed a three-year sponsorship deal for Nepalese Cricket team today.

Yubaraj Lama, the member secretary of National Sports Council unveiled the jersey today.

The apparel producers of Singapore – BS Sports will provide cash incentives to senior cricketers for their performance in the ICC-organised tournaments and will provide them with match fees along with the jersey and kits. They are yet to decide on the amount for the match fees though. The deal will begin from Nepal’s journey in the ICC World Twenty20 scheduled for Bangladesh from March 16, next year.

BS Sports is ICC certified vendor and is currently associated with around 30 international cricketers including Kamran Akmal and Younis Khan of Pakistan, Prasanna Jayawardene of Sri Lanka and Ravi Rampaul of the West Indies. While the men’s team will be provided with all gears in huge number, the quantity for other Nepali teams will be smaller in size, informed Januza.
