Nepal starts off against Denmark in T20 Qualifiers

Nepal is set to start the ICC World Twenty20 qualifiers against Denmark, the runners-up from the European qualifiers in ICC GCA 2 ground in United Arab Emirates from November 15.

International Cricket Council (ICC) officially published the draw of the tournament on Monday.

Nepal has been placed in Group B pool along with Afghanistan, the Netherlands, Scotland, Kenya, Bermuda, Papua New Guinea and Denmark.

Similarly, Top seeds Ireland have been drawn with Namibia, Canada, Uganda, United States, UAE, Hong Kong and Italy who won the European qualifying event over the weekend in pool A at November’s tournament.

Top five teams of a group will qualify for play-offs and the play-offs will decide six teams to reach the World T20 Cup ultimately.

Ireland are the defending champions having beaten Afghanistan in a thrilling encounter last year.

The tournament will runs from November 15-30 in the United Arab Emirates.
