NPL withdraws Two days Format this year

Kathmandu – Two days format has been been cancelled for this year in Nepal Premier League (NPL) due to the extreme weather conditions in the far west and Terai region.

“NPL commences from 14th of May and hence understanding the local weather conditions the entire players came up with a serious concern on extreme sunburn and other possible injuries. This was cancelled on a mutual understanding with all the Six Captains before their departure to ACC Premier League in Malaysia”, press release quoted.

However, the organisers states that the Two days format shall be resumed from next year.

Similarly, Biratnagar and Rajbiraj has been cancelled this year due to chances of Rain and the venue doesn’t have a proper drainage system.

Both the format of the league (One day & T20 ) will be played in Round Robin Format.
