Pokhara Avengers stop Lumbini All-Stars winning run

Pokhara Avengers has concluded Lumbini All-Stars winning streak. All-Stars are finally defeated after a tremendous five-match winning run. Meanwhile, the Avengers bag back-to-back win after losing five matches in a trot.

Pokhara completed the chase of 128, losing just one wicket with ten balls spare. Aasif Sheikh scoring his second half-century of the tournament, remained unbeaten for 77 runs. He smashed nine fours from 62 balls. Aarif Sheikh contributed sluggish 26(37)* as the brothers shared 95* runs stand.

Kishore Mahato picked up only wicket for Lumbini, dismissing Sumit Maharjan.

Earlier, Lumbini were settled for an average total after opting to bat first. The openers added 40 runs before Sunil Dhamala walked back for 15 runs, followed by Bhurtel’s golden duck. Top scorer Harmeet Singh was dismissed by Zahir Khan for 38 in the eighth over; Lumbini then started losing wickets swiftly. 

Harry Tector, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Yogendra Singh Karki couldn’t do any special. Power hitters Shadley van Schalkwyk and Gulshan Jha were also dismissed without doing any damage. Eventually, they were wrapped up for 127 in 19.5 overs.

Spinners Bipin Khatri and Zahir Khan picked up three wickets each with an excellent economy. Tul Thapa, Siddhant Lohani and Aarif Sheikh also pocketed one wicket each.
