Nepalese Men’s Cricket Team who are currently in the USA for CWC League -2 fixtures will be playing their first practice match against Nepali All-Stars on Thursday. The match will be played at Prairie View Cricket Ground, Houston at 9:15 pm (NST).

Nepali All-Stars is the USA-based Cricket team including former Nepali Cricketers and some big international names as well. Prithu Baskota, Former Nepal U-19 skipper is leading All-Stars whereas veteran Basanta Regmi, Bardan Chalise, and Kanishka Chaugai will also be seen in the field.

Corey Anderson who was all set to play tonight’s match will now miss out following the birth of a child. However, IPL champion Bipul Sharma, Canadian Star Nitish Kumar, Smit Patel, Shadley van Schalkwyk, and Rehman Dar will play against Nepal.

What is Nepal’s probable XI?

Nepal probably will play their best 11 in the first practice match as they have to adapt to the conditions well. Asif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel are most likely to open. Dev Khanal or Rohit Paudel might be seen batting at 3. In case Dev bats at 3 Rohit will be batting at 5 and Aarif probably will miss out from the XI else Rohit could bat at 3 and Aarif might bat at 5. Dipendra Singh Airee is No.4 whereas Wicket-Keeper Binod Bhandari comes at number 6.

Sompal Kami and Karan KC are Nepal’s two first-choice pacers. Similarly, Kishore Mahato who performed very well against Zimbabwe A last month is Nepal’s third seamer. Captain Sandeep Lamichhane and Sagar Dhakal are the most probable Spin options.
