Nepal’s star cricketer, Sandeep Lamichhane, has been included in the second phase of closed camp for the preparation of Nepal’s upcoming home Tri-series against Scotland and Namibia under CWC League 2.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) unveiled the list of 20 players, which includes former captain, Lamichhane.
CAN’s board meeting on Tuesday lifted his suspension, and He was granted permission to play cricket inside Nepal. However, He was not given CAN’s central contract for 2023.
CAN suspend the spinning sensation on seventh September 2022, after police received an arrest warrant against him. He was accused of raping a 17-year-old minor. However, He was released on a NRs. Twenty lakhs (Rs. 2 million/ USD 15,300) bail by the Patan High Court on January 12 2023.
