Nepal announces 18-man squad for T20I Tri-Series

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Tuesday unveiled the squad for the Tri-Series against UAE and Hong Kong. Regular captain Rohit Paudel will lead the 18-man squad.

Sandeep Lamichhane will not be a part of the squad after his decision to withdraw his name.

Lalit Rajbanshi who missed the previous tournament due to an injury is back in the squad. Another Left-arm spinner Surya Tamang and Sagar Dhakal are back in the side whilst Shyam Dhakal (Mausam) keeps his place.

Lokesh Bam, who is known for his aggressive batting has been called back whereas Wicket-keeper Binod Bhandari also cements his spot.

Nepal is hosting the T20I Tri-Series from October 18 to 27 in preparation for the crucial World Cup Asia Qualifier. The schedule and fixtures for the series have already been unveiled, with the opening match featuring Nepal against the UAE.

The Tri-Series will take place at Mulpani for all the matches, except for the final, which is scheduled to be held at TU Cricket Ground.
