Nepal defeats India in the first match of Women’s Bilateral Series for the Blind

The Nepalese Blind Women’s team has registered a win against the India Blind Women’s team in the first game of the five-match Bilateral T20 series. The Nepalese team were victorious by eight wickets at Pokhara Cricket Ground, Kaski.

India scored 173 for 7 in the allotted 20 overs. Ganga was the top scorer for India, notching up an unbeaten 72 runs. Simu Das added 11-ball 26.

Nisha Choudhary picked up one wicket for Nepal. The other six dismissals were run out, with Nisha herself being part of three.

In reply, Nepal chased the target in 18 overs, losing just two wickets. Binita Pun was the star of the chase scoring a sensational hundred. She made an unbeaten 111 runs from 57 balls, striking 17 fours. Mankeshi Chaudhary added 32, whereas Sarita Ghimire Scored 21*.

 

The second match of the series will be played in the same venue Tomorrow (April 26). The rest of the matches will be held at Mulpani Cricket Ground on 28, 29 and 30 April.

The Nepalese national women’s blind team last toured Pakistan back in 2019 and were the winner of the series.
