Nepal trounce Singapore, enters Final

Kathmandu – Nepal trounced Singapore Cricket team by massive 227 runs in the ongoing Sagarmatha Journey to World Cup Cricket Tournament being held at TU Cricket Ground in Kathmandu.

Batting first, Nepal scored a mammoth 313 for the loss of 5 wickets in their 45 overs. Opener Subash Khakurel (75) and Anil Mandal (58) put up a century partnership that lead the foundation for the home team. Similarly, Gyanendra Malla scored run a ball 48 while the player of the Match – Sharad Vesawkar, who is in supreme form scored an unbeaten 91 runs. Vesawkar smashed 8 Sixes in his 45 balls inning.

Vijay Kumar Saladore & Amjad Mehboob managed to take two wickets each. Gyanendra Malla captained the National side today as Paras Khadka was rested for today’s match.

Meanwhile, Nepal needed just 17.2 overs to wrap up the Singapore Cricket team. They were bowled out for  just 86 runs.  Som Pal Kami, & Raj Kumar Pradhan took 3 wickets each while Jitendra Mukhiya and Basant Regmi shared two wickets each.

Nepal will take on Air India tomorrow in the final of the tournament. Match starts from 9:15 AM at TU Ground.

Air India vs Delhi Wonderers

Air India defeated Delhi Wonderers by 39 runs. They scored 177 in their 35.2 overs at the Engineering Ground and in the second inning, Delhi Wonderers were bowled out for 138 runs in 33.3 overs.
