Paras Lashes out Heavily at CAN; says “work responsibly”

Kathmandu – Nepal Cricket Team skipper Paras Khadka  has lashed out of the Cricket Association of Nepal talking in a popular TV show-Fireside.

“They(CAN members) boast to their friends and family members about being members of Cricket’s governing body in Nepal but when it comes to their work they are good for nothing. There are 32 members in the Association from nine different regions. They call themselves volunteers and consider their work optional. With that they indulge in their own business and cricket doesn’t get the attention it should ” said Khadka questioning CAN members commitment towards cricket.

I have been captaining Nepal for 3-4 years now none of members had any inputs about improving the domestic structure”, said Khadka who sounded absolutely furious highlighting how nothing substantial had been achieved at domestic level despite huge success by national team internationally.

“The only work that’s done is of ICC and ACC’s funding and that is paying off the hotel bills”, Khadka went a step further.”Anybody can do that. That not helping Cricket’s growth anyway.”

Khadka pointed out the negligent work at Mulpani where players and media box were built prior to the playing ground. “People laugh at Mulpani” said Khadka. “That shows what sort of vision leads CAN”  he added with disappointment.

“CAN members should be more responsible and should take immediate action and this is the best time to take the cricket to higher level”, Khadka advised when inquired what he expects from Cricket Association of Nepal.

The talk show hosted by famed TV figure Bhusan Dahal aired today on Kantipur TV at 9:00pm.
