Nepal women bag a thumping win against Bahrain women

The Nepalese national women’s team has bagged a humungous win against Bahrain women in the second match of the T20 World Cup Asia region qualification.

Nepal bowled out Bahrain for a mere 31 runs and chased the target in just 2.5 overs without losing any wickets.

Kabita Kunwar scored 14-ball 17 with three fours, while Sita added two runs from three balls. The other 13 runs came in the form of extras as Nepal won the match with 107 balls spare.

Earlier, Bahrain were bowled out for 31 runs in just 15.4 overs. Opting to bat first at Selangor Turf Club, Five batters were dismissed for a duck as Bahrain could score only 31 runs. Captain Deepika Rasangika was the only batter to score a double-digit figure with 11 runs.

For Nepal, Indu Barma was a pick of a bowler. She picked up three wickets, conceding five runs from four overs (two maidens). Khusi Dangol grabbed two whilst Rubin Chhetri, Kabita Kunwar and Puja Mahato picked up one wicket each. Nepalese bowlers bowled five maiden overs in the inning.

Nepal registered a dramatic five-run win against Malaysia in the first match.
